In 1962, Resurrection Catholic School opened with the first four grades and 89 students. After the parish buildings were completed in 1963, the church was located on the first floor and the school occupied the second. In 1965, the Skipper Center lunchroom was added.
The fall of 1967 saw the arrival of the Adrian Dominican sisters at Resurrection School and they remained an important presence until 1978. In 1978, portable classrooms were added to house the enrichment classes and the newly formed Pre Kindergarten. The first accreditation by the Florida Catholic Conference took place in 1972.
By 1985, with the appointment of Father Thomas Cody as pastor of the new church, the school building was transformed into a modern facility with a computer lab and Guidance and Health offices. In 1999 plans were made for an additional building.
In 2002, Monsignor Vincent Haut developed and oversaw construction of a new state of the art school to house pre k through Grade 3. The Broderick Building was completed and dedicated in 2008.
In 2012, technology integration across the curriculum was implemented with the acquisition of ipads and the entire campus going Wi-Fi. The Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother began teaching Religion classes in the Fall of 2014.
In 2015 we updated the computer lab and library and made it into a media center for the whole school to enjoy.
