Ms. Giffin began playing the piano at the age of three. During high school and college she was featured several times as soloist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. She won several regional competitions in high school and was a first prize winner in the 2001 Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofieff International Piano Competition held in Radford, Virginia.
Ms. Giffin is a graduate of Indiana University(BM,’89) and the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University (MM ’90, GPD ’93). She is also the music teacher at St. Patrick Caholic School in Jacksonville, a church pianist, and teaches piano from her home in Oakleaf. In her spare time, Ms. Giffin enjoys running marathons.
